Click here to see four soprano clarinets from Mozart’s time to a modern instrument.  Notice the later the model the more keys it has.

Click here to see  a great page about the big daddy of the saxophone family the contra bass saxophone.  It’s twice the size of a baritone sax. At the bottom of the page there some pictures you can click on and links to some sound clips.  See if you can figure out which sound is the contra bass saxophone.

Stop the presses. There is an even bigger saxophone.  Some call it the “subcontrabass but it’s real name is “tubax”.  Check out the great sound clips and pictures.  This thing is a monster.  It is 2 times the size of a bass sax or 4 times the size of the tenor or 8 times the size of the soprano.

Click here for a fun page to scroll through.  It has the smallest and the largest saxophones.  It has pictures of some horns that seem to be starving.
